The events of the day, which was a typical Sunday:
0500 - Wake up, shave, get dressed for Physical Training
0600 - Run with a soldier who asked me to pace him on the 2 mile physical fitness test run.
0700 - Morning chapel service.
0800 - Breakfast with a group of other chaplains.

I haven’t had much time to post anything recently. I’ve been busy getting to know my 250 new soldiers. We have had some gorgeous weather lately. Lows have been in the high 60’s with highs in the low 90’s. It definitely feels cool in the mornings. I’m scheduled to go home on leave in January. [...]
The trouble with being a chaplain is that you can’t talk much about the details of your work. There are some issues that you could pray for, though. Pray that we will all experience more open communication, find healthy ways to address conflict, and develop renewed attitudes of respect and understanding for each other.

I haven’t posted anything in a few days. It’s been very busy here. There was a large attack recently that was reported in the news. More than a dozen mortars were lobbed in, and there were several casualties. One of my soldiers was able to treat an injured officer, stabilizing him until the ambulance arrived. [...]
The Army Ten-Miler was held Sunday in Washington. It is the largest ten-mile race in the world; 26,000 were expected to run. Thirty military amputees ran the race, calling themselves the “Parts Missing in Action” group. A great testimony to the perserverance and strength of will of the American Soldier.
